Cricket @ IIMA PGPX-4

While some of our classmates are busy preparing for AD end term exam on Monday, here I am, desperate to write a blog on PGPX-4 cricket gang. It will be an injustice not to dedicate a blog to our cricket team which awards me a slot in the team.

Let me begin by giving an intro to our key players (by default, all out our players are key-players. If they do not perform on a particular day or regularly – it is because they are out of form momentarily)

Suhas- The fittest guys in out batch. His physical fitness can give inferiority to a PGP guy. He is an excellent spin bowler and a useful batsman

Rishi – Our sports secretary, a “danger bowler”. He can spin on leg side or on off side but anything released from his hand does spin

Sandeep – A dangerous batsman and dangerous bowler. I am scared if he is in opposite team. I have seen him hitting many yorkers for a big shot. An art - which I want to learn but which I miss most of the times

Mandeep – He is our cultural secretary and I do not understand what makes him a good batsman. BTW the skit “Pappu can’t dance saala” was a major hit during PGPX-4 induction.

Sid – By immediate effect, such batsman should be banished from playing cricket. This left handed batsman only believe in fours and sixes and he is a real pain

Lokesh – Dangerous batsman and bowler. His jokes and comments are ultimate. We have many common hobbies

Debraj – Our CEO, a silent guy like Nawab Patuadi – a man of his own style – I saw him going for big shots many times

With such terrific guys in our gang, I am optimistic that we will defeat any team - be it PGP, FPM or PMP.
